After more than three years of continuous work on the expansion of Jorge Chavez International Airport, during which the installation of the visual aids for the new runway and Terminal building platforms, including lights, power systems, wiring and control systems were completed, we embarked on the comprehensive modernization of the airport’s beaconing thanks to the trust placed in SAMPOL by STRACON and LAP. This project will include the renovation of the runway 16L-34R lights and their associated taxiways, along with the installation of a new controller room for their power supply, as well as an updated wiring system to distribute the necessary power. In addition, the control system will be upgraded, leaving Jorge Chávez International Airport completely modernized with state-of-the-art equipment.
