For the second consecutive year, SAMPOL, through its business unit SAMPOL Digital, will participate in the 39th edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), held at Madrid’s IFEMA from 23 to 25 January. SAMPOL will be located at stand 10B27 in Pavilion 10.
SAMPOL, which operates across various sectors, including tourism (hospitality), has completed over 2,500 projects in more than 300 hotels across 17 countries and four continents.
In its ongoing commitment to innovation, SAMPOL Digital has introduced its technology and associated services to the hotel sector through RETiA FTTR (Fiber To The Room). RETiA FTTR is the latest in fibre-optic-based telecommunications technology, delivering IP services (Internet, TV, telephony, IoT) directly to hotel rooms: all services unified through a simple fibre optic thread. This marks a shift from traditional analogue networks to fully digital, fibre-optic networks.
SAMPOL Digital has already connected over 25,000 hotel rooms across Spain and the Caribbean with GPON fibre-optic technology. The company plans to continue expanding this state-of-the-art global standard in the coming months, as it establishes itself as one of SAMPOL’s flagship projects for 2018.
