Electrical infrastructure project for the electrical connection of vessels to land.
For the Paraires pier, we have built an OPS (Onshore Power Supply) substation that supplies electricity to the moored ships. It supplies them through two junction boxes. One is medium voltage and supplies the ferry category vessels and the second, low voltage, supplies the fast ferries.
This substation makes the Port of Palma the first Spanish commercial port prepared to connect at medium and low voltage.
DESCRIPTION: 15 kV service connection from public grid.
Containerized OPS substation:
- 1 MW capacity for 400 V – 50 Hz supply.
- 2 MW capacity for 11 kV – 60 Hz supply.
Connections to vessels:
- 1 5-socket junction box (400 V – 50 Hz).
- 1 junction box with 2 outlets (11 kV – 60 Hz).
