SAMPOL has been awarded a major technological modernisation project at Hotel Farah in Casablanca, Morocco. This marks SAMPOL’s first project in the country, representing a significant milestone for the company. The iconic establishment, now operating under Barceló’s Royal Hideaway brand, has entrusted us with the implementation of a new technological infrastructure system aimed at enhancing connectivity and digital services for its guests.
Our project includes the deployment of an advanced telecommunications network, based on a Passive Optical LAN (POL) infrastructure, which has been installed throughout the hotel using fibre-optic technology. This network serves as the backbone for Wi-Fi, CCTV, telephony and IPTV services, covering both common areas and guest rooms. Thanks to this state-of-the-art solution, Hotel Farah now offers faster, more stable and more secure connectivity for both guests and staff.
Regarding Wi-Fi connectivity, we have installed Wi-Fi 6 access points in common areas and ONTs (Optical Network Terminals) with Wi-Fi 6 in each room. This ensures robust and uniform coverage throughout the entire hotel, even in high-traffic areas such as the lobby, conference rooms and restaurants. The engineering design has been carefully planned to optimise the guest experience, ensuring that everyone enjoys high-quality internet access.
Another key aspect of the modernisation has been the implementation of the Ico RoomXperience room control system. Designed to meet the Royal Hideaway brand standards, this system allows guests to manage in-room features such as climate control through an intuitive interface.
Additionally, we have integrated an IPTV and casting system, offering a wider range of channels and entertainment services, further enhancing comfort and enjoyment during guests’ stays.
With these improvements, Hotel Farah is setting a new benchmark for innovation in Casablanca’s hospitality sector, providing guests with cutting-edge technology and superior comfort. We are confident that this modernisation project will strengthen the hotel’s position as a leader in the industry, not only improving service quality but also enhancing guest satisfaction.
