Engineering and Design
The project involved the detailed engineering for a power station equipped with nine high-efficiency BEAS B36:45 V20AG1 engines, each with a capacity of 11.34 MWe, as well as all associated auxiliary equipment, including the emission reduction and control system. It also comprised a 138 kV high-voltage substation and the gas regulation and metering station (ERM).
The biggest challenge in this project was designing for the extreme temperatures experienced in the province of Alberta, where temperatures can drop to -40°C in winter.
