Through this low-carbon energy installation, we will supply power to Bacard\u00ed for the next 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>The system is designed to use the biogas generated by the distillery\u2019s waste management process to produce electricity and steam, achieving a 50% reduction in its carbon footprint, a significant improvement in energy supply quality and considerable cost savings. It will generate 100% of the energy used across the site, including the distillery, offices and Casa Bacard\u00ed visitor centre \u2013 one of the island\u2019s most visited tourist destinations.
