SAMPOL has signed a collaboration agreement with Jamaica’s Caribbean Maritime University, premier educational institution for engineering in the Caribbean region.
This agreement is established in the frame of SAMPOL’s corporate program to attract talent in diverse countries, the SAMPOL TALENT PROGRAM. The alliance with the Caribbean Maritime University has a double objective for the company, to offer student internships in SAMPOL’s premises in Jamaica, and to offer to graduated students the opportunity to join the Group and develop their professional career within SAMPOL. These young professionals will be linked to the construction and maintenance of SAMPOL’s energy efficient cogeneration plants in Jamaica.
According to Carlos Nuevo, Operations and Maintenance Country Manager for SAMPOL Group in the area: “It is key for our growth strategy, not only in Jamaica, but throughout the whole Caribbean region, to incorporate young and qualified talent. We are very thankful for the compromise of the Caribbean Maritime University to support SAMPOL with their engineering students and graduates.”
