The MAB-SAMPOL joint venture has completed the work on the Moncloa campus of the Complutense University of Madrid.
The project consisted of the refurbishment of the Heat Substations, which provide service to different buildings on the campus:
- Exchangers.
- Pumps.
- Electrical panels.
- Lighting.
- Calorifugates.
- Centralized control.
- Small civil works.
The construction of the new heating network and new connections to new faculties and classrooms to supply hot water for heating has also been carried out.
The new hot water distribution network and centralized heating system exchange substations represent a significant modernization of the campus heating infrastructure.
The more effective distribution of hot water translates into improved comfort for users and a reduction in energy consumption. In addition, the exchange substations will facilitate temperature regulation and control of the system, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly environment.
This project is an important step towards the modernization and sustainability of the university’s facilities. The duration of the project has been 18 months, meeting the deadline to provide heating service to the UCM campus.
