SAMPOL was founded in 1934 to participate in the industrialisation process of the Balearic Islands in the field of installation and maintenance of industrial equipment. The beginning of the tourism trade in the 1950s enabled Sampol to carry out a great many installations in the hotels, airport and auxiliary industries that came into being as a result.

In the year 1967 Mr. Gabriel Sampol Mayol succeeded his father as manager of SAMPOL, and from this moment on the process of expansion began, both on a national and an international scale, which was to transform our company into a referent for the execution of airport infrastructure and tourism complex projects, offering turn key projects anywhere in the world.

During the 1970s offices were opened up in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and the Canary Islands, and the company began to work all over Spain. In the 1990s activities began in the Caribbean area, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama and Jamaica, applying the experience acquired in the tourism sector in the Balearic Islands. Later on, activity started up in Gaza (Palestine), Italy, Belgium and North Africa.

Now Sampol is a multinational business, with totally Balearic capital, working in the key sectors of today’s economy, and dedicated to the promotion and integrated management of large projects. It has the capacity to cope with the multidisciplinary management required in these sectors of activity.
