SAMPOL, one history, one world

SAMPOL began its activity in 1934 by the hand of José Sampol Arbona. Its original name was Casa Sampol and it started off as a radio repair shop. Nowadays, the group’s turnover exceeds 150 million euros, and the company is a global benchmark in the world of applied engineering, with branch offices in different countries.

With the introduction of mass tourism in Spain and especially in the Balearic Islands, SAMPOL becomes a reference in the Majorcan hotel and industrial world.


Expansion within Spain, opening delegations in the main capitals by the hand of the hotel sector. SAMPOL takes the leap into the airport world, intervening in almost all airports in Spain.


First internationalization towards the Caribbean as a result of the recognition obtained in the hotel sector. Whereas in Spain, it is recognized as the main reference in the airport beaconing field.


SAMPOL grows and diversifies its activity, expanding its capacities in energy systems, electromechanical installations, telecommunications and control systems. It also expands geographically to other countries in Europe, Central America and Africa.


SAMPOL is awarded the construction and maintenance contract for the cogeneration plant at Terminal 4 of Madrid-Barajas airport, which positions the company as a benchmark in the energy field in Europe.


Second internationalization in Latin America. SAMPOL expands its scope of action and opens a branch in Mexico City to export its know-how beyond the Caribbean and to all sectors.


SAMPOL opens a new branch office in Vancouver (Canada) to address the North American and Canadian markets.
